In her role, Rachel ensures that the vision and directives of the board are effectively carried out. She leads strategic planning, reviews progress and outcomes, and helps shape the direction of the organization’s impact across East Africa.
Rachel actively builds partnerships with like-minded organizations to support Lulu-Afrika’s vision of creating communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. Alongside the board of directors, she also plays a key role in fundraising and guiding the organization’s growth.
She brings many years of experience providing medical support as a combat medic in the U.S. Army, serving in both active duty and reserve components. After her military service, she worked as a Quality Analyst, reviewing medical disability reports and evaluations for veterans.
Rachel holds an Associate of Science from Houston Community College, a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Texas Southern University, and a Master of Public Health from Brown University.
